Cat Napper - free XML template

Here's a super cute blog template with your own navigation bar. The "home" link is already working, and there are instructions in the code, but here's how to add your own links:
  1. Log into blogger. Click on "EDIT HTML"

  2. Scroll down the large box of code until you see the following (it's near the end)

    <li><a href="'/'">Home</a></li>
    <li><a href="'#'">Link Here</a></li>
    <li><a href="'#'">Link Here</a></li>
    <li><a href="'#'">Link Here</a></li>
To add your own links:
replace the "#" symbol with your link URL and then edit the "Link Here" text to be the name of your link (see colour coding below). So if you wanted to put a link back to me, this is what you'd change one of the lines to be:

<li><a href="'http://www.yummylolly.com'">Yummy Lolly</a></li>

You can remove or add any lines as you wish. You just have to add them before the </ul> code.
Let me know if you have any questions.

The design works with "new" blogger - ie: it's an XML template. Please ensure that you backup your widget data, as installing a new template will wipe/erase your current widget content.

  1. Hi,

I start by saying that your templates are amazing. Last week I've downloaded one of them for my blog @ http://marika-eva.blogspot.com/

Since that I have problems with comments, ppl cannot post any. Can you help me fix this problem please?

  2. It's me again, commenting works if I change to pop-up window option. But I really want to keep the Embedded below post option which does not work.

  6. Hi Janice,
I'm not sure. I did have a look at your site.... and I can see the images ok.

You're using an "old" blogger template and I no-longer support these anymore so you should upgrade to new blogger. They are easier to use!

  10. Hi,

Is it possible to have the layout in the middle wider? Because I would like to post pictures that are bigger and wider. Or at least 13 cm wide.

    Much thanks

  18. Hey Sharnee, HUGE fan of your layouts. I'm working on using the Cat Napper as a base for my new layout.

I was wondering, is there any way to make the customizable links be centered instead of off to the right? I've tried a couple centering codes, but everything I use just breaks the bar.

    Thanks!
